Vallila - Finnish Design - Ready made!

Robbi and I have been really excited to come across a new range of ready made curtains whilst looking at new fabrics for the OurGreenRoom winter collection. But not like what you get from, ahem, Argos - these curtains are really exciting! But who would expect less from Finland - boy do they know how to design fabric!

Vallila is a Finnish Interiors company, and among other fabulous collections, they have a range of beautiful, large scale ready made curtains. My personal favourite is Kotiin - a large scale pint featuring swans in flight and it comes in a rage of colours; light blue, deep purple, bright orange, black and white, and beige - one for most colour schemes. Robbi and I are going to go for the duck egg blue version with lovely hints of yellow, white and dove grey for a large window on our stairwell. Shown here in this lovely image from Valilla you can see how absolutely beautiful it is.

By looking at the designs, you would presume they were expensive, but considering they are ready to hang and have a whopping drop of 240cm - large enough for even georgian windows, at only £60 from Shannon you may have yourself a bit of a bargain...I've seen similar prices in B&Q for designs that are not really that innovative, and of course - most of your friends are likley to have something similar.

The curtains are on sale exclusively through Shannon in Bath, and at the moment it is the only UK shop to stock the curtains both online and in store. In the shop the owner also holds most of the books, allowing you to see all colours and designs available for this season.

In fact - we are off there now to get some for our living room! Cheerio!
