We are always hunting out new fabrics and designers for our fabric collection and now really is the time that we need to start deciding which fabrics we are going to use in our Winter Collection, due to be launched in October 2011.

We always look for fabrics that are synonymous with our brand, and our reputation for bright, colourful and distinctive designs.

Last night we stumbled across a fantastic website whereby anyone – yes anyone can print their own fabric. Crafters and designers are normally put off when it comes to printing your own fabric, with hefty set up costs, minimum order lengths and CAD work that some printing companies will insist needs to be done. With Spoonflower, as long as you own the artwork, you can prepare (online) and print your own fabric without a minimum order – just order 1 yard if you like!

We will certainly be giving them a go to print our first OurGreenRoom in-house design which features a large scale hot pink damask on a pure white background (pictured). We will use the fabric to manufacture cushions and wall art for our shop as well as selling the fabric by the metre. Price per metre to be confirmed. Watch this space!
